現代美術作家である牛田美希は、女性、ジェンダーをテーマに制作。 写真やインスタレーション、立体など 様々な支持体を利用し、作品を展開している。

つけまつげ、マニキュア、ストッキング…そういった女性をより美しく可愛く見せる為の魔法のアイテムをモチーフに、女の子の「飾り付ける」という本能を形にしてきた。

 

I create my works (photographs,installations, and statures, etc.) by symbolical materials for the modern women such as false eyelashes, detergents, stockings and chocolates. Those works represent the peculiar psychology and action of the modern women who hold the contradictory feelings, "narcissism" and "self-hatred" in their hearts.
